A tuftsin-derived heptapeptide studied in neuropeptide signalling models.
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide developed by Russian researchers, and it is the usual companion to Semax in cognitive-research literature.
Selank is built from tuftsin, a four-amino-acid fragment of the immunoglobulin G heavy chain (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail that improves stability. It was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Russia.
Animal studies examine behavioural markers associated with anxiety. These are model results and should not be read as outcomes in any other setting.
Published work looks at how Selank affects enkephalin metabolism and monoamine and GABA-related signalling in laboratory systems.
The two come from related traditions but are examined for different signalling profiles. Read the comparison → or what is Semax?
All of the above is research context from laboratory models. Selank is supplied for research use only and is not a treatment.
Ask for a batch-specific COA with HPLC purity and mass-spec identity. Here is how to read one.
